    • Beck is the modern master of the groove, and Guero is merely the latest example of this. From the opening power chords of "E-Pro," to the Pac-Man cuteness of "Girl," to the dirge-like lullab

    • "Black Milk" knocks me off my feet in this collection of moody and eclectic songs. Massive Attack uses samples and keyboards in a very unique way, but not all the songs pack the same punch.

Free iPod shuffle & 50 Free iTMS Songs

JudysBook.com is offering a free 512 megabyte iPod shuffle plus 50 free iTunes Music Store downloads to people who submit 50 reviews of local businesses and get ten friends to sign up for the site. Judy's Book is a site that offers member reviews of local businesses around the U.S., and bills itself as "Your Friends' Yellow Pages."

The promotion has two elements in that the free iPod shuffle is being offered just for reviews, while it takes the reviews plus the ten friends to get the iPod shuffle and the free iTunes downloads (five songs per friend signed up).

Additional guidelines:

  • Your reviews must be of local businesses - reviews of national chains will not be counted toward your total
  • No more than 10 of your reviews can be for restaurants, coffee shops, bars or clubs (a list of suggested review topics is provided to help you get started)
  • Reviews must be at least 50 words in length

The deadline for the promotion has been recently extended to August 21st. You can find additional details at Judy's Book.
