Google to Launch Video Download Service

Las Vegas -- Google is expected to announce its own video download service during a CES keynote presentation on Friday, according to the Wall Street Journal. The service will let users view and download TV shows and videos for a fee, presumably like Apple’s iTunes Music Store (iTMS).
Google is not showing its hand yet, instead teasing us by stating "We have a number of exciting announcements that we look forward to sharing in detail on Friday afternoon."
Google co-founder, Larry Page, will be speaking at the keynote, and is expected to announce that it has partnerships with CBS and the NBA. The iTMS, in comparison, has deals with ABC, NBC, USA, The Sci Fi Channel, and more.
Another expected announcement is Google Pack, a collection of applications from Google and other companies. Google Pack will likely include the Firefox Web browser, Adobe Reader, a version of Norton AntiVirus, RealNetworks RealPlayer, Trillian instant messaging software, and more. There is no word yet on whether or not Google Pack is Windows only, or if there will be a MAc version, too.
