Griffin Intros SmartDesk Cassette Adapter for iPods

Griffin Technology has introduced its new SmartDeck Intelligent Cassette Adapter for iPod, which enables users to listen to their music through their car stereo's cassette deck. They can use the cassette deck's buttons to control playback, with the adapter pausing the iPod when the eject button is pressed or the user turns the radio on.
A switch in the cassette adapter determines whether the iPod plays the next or previous song in the playlist when the fast-forward or rewind buttons are pressed, or if it scans forward or backward through the current track.
Griffin expects to ship the new product later this month for US$29.99. The company is accepting pre-orders now.
SmartDeck Intelligent Cassette Adapter is compatible with the latest video-capable iPod and the iPod nano as well as the 4G iPod, iPod mini and iPod photo. It works with the 3G iPod, but the play/pause feature isn't supported.
