IOGEAR Debuts Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
Sunday, September 11th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
IOGEAR on Monday unveiled its new Bluetooth Stereo Kit, which includes a pair of Bluetooth stereo headphones and a Bluetooth audio adapter that can plug into an iPod or other MP3 player, cell phones, such as the new iTunes-enabled Motorola ROKR, home stereos, TVs and more. The headphones, which were designed to be worn behind the neck of the listener, work with the adapter from up to 66 feet away and come with a detachable microphone for cell phone use.
The headphones automatically pause the music if a call comes in; they feature a built-in rechargeable battery that provides six hours of use. The Bluetooth adapter works with any audio jack. The Bluetooth Stereo Kit sells for US$179.95. The headphones and the audio adapter can be purchased separately for $99.95 each -- the headphones are compatible with any Bluetooth device that supports A2DP and AVRCP.
