MTV Programming at the iTunes Music Store

MTV Networks announced that it is adding programming to the iTunes Music Store (iTMS) on Thursday. Shows from MTV, MTV2, Nickelodeon, The N, and Comedy Central are all available now. TMO previously covered Comedy Central’s line-up here.

From MTV, full seasons from Laguna Beach, Gauntlet 2, Beavis & Butt-Head, Jackass, Punk’d, and My Super Sweet 16. MTV 2’s Wonder Showzen, Nickelodeon’s Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob SquarePants, Zoey 101, and The N’s South of Nowhere round out the new programming.
MTV previously announced at the CES Expo in January that it is teaming up with Microsoft to deliver programming online though a new venture called URGE. Although not available yet, it will be a direct competitor to the iTMS. Unlike the iTMS purchase and download model, however, URGE will offer a monthly subscription package.
No information is available on how MTV’s agreement with Apple will impact content on URGE.
