Magical iPod Thwarts Burglars
Thursday, February 15th, 2007 at 2:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
A Dandora, Kenya man and his wife narrowly avoided a burglary on Valentine's Day thanks to a well placed iPod. The couple were laying on the floor together in their house late at night when two would-be burglars kicked in a window and climbed through into the livingroom, according to hipFOX.
The couple went unnoticed on the floor, but the burglars did see the glow from the display on the iPod the wife was listening to. Since they were unfamiliar with the technological advances that make the iPod possible, both were convinced they had disturbed a ghost, so they did exactly what any self respecting burglar would have done - they ran away.
The unsuspecting couple, now no longer in the mood, opted to alert the police. Unfortunately, that involved a 12 mile walk since there weren't any telephones available.
Although no one was injured, the evening turned out poorly for John Kamau and his wife. Mr. Kamau missed out on the rest of his Valentine's Day present from his wife, his window was broken out, and the Kenyan police confiscated his iPod and accused him of being a liar.
Presumably, the police plan on using the magical iPod and its iGhost to help reduce the number of burglaries in the area.
