My Dream App Gives Away iTunes Utility During Voting

Voters participating in the third round of voting in the My Dream App contest will receive free copies of the iTunes library sharing utility Musicast. My Dream App is an American Idol-like contest in which contestants submit their ideas for Mac OS X software and voters decide which ones proceed to the next round.

Currently, 12 finalists remain, with the latest round of voting -- ending at 11:59 PM PDT on Oct. 5 -- knocking three of them out of contention. Those contestants will receive new 4GB iPod nanos. Top vote-getters last week were the cookbook, shopping, and meal-planning utility Cookbook, the discussion board aggregator Hijack, and the desktop-transforming real-time strategy game Desktop Wars.
