National Semiconductor Gives Video iPods to 8,500 Employees

National Semiconductor Corp. on Monday said that it is giving each of its 8,500 employees a 30GB video iPod. The move was made to not only celebrate its most successful fiscal year ever but to also provide a means for employees to download the company's podcasts and other internal communications.
Brian L. Halla, chairman and CEO of National Semiconductor, said in a press release: "We're looking for new and more effective ways to communicate with our employees -- and the iPods will help us do both."
The company designs, manufactures, and sells analog integrated circuits used in the iPod as well as other portable devices, enabling better battery life as well as enhanced video and audio.
