Newer Tech Intros New Battery for 1G, 2G iPods

Newer Technology on Tuesday released a new 2200mAh replacement battery for first- and second-generation iPods. Selling for US$34.95, it offers 78% more runtime than the original Apple battery, according to the company, which also said that it has discontinued its 1800mAh and 2100mAh batteries and cut their prices to $19.99 and $29.95 while supplies last.
Like Newer Tech�s other iPod batteries, this one comes with installation tools and instructions. A video installation guide is also available on the company�s Web site. Newer Tech also offers replacement batteries for the other iPod models, including iPod mini.
