Nike+iPod Web Site Logs Over 1 Million Miles By Joggers

Nike on Wednesday announced that it has logged more than one million miles on the nikeplus.com Web site set up for owners of the new Nike+iPod Sport Kit. On Sept. 19 alone, nearly 8,000 runners logged their data.
Nike noted that the most miles logged by one runner was over 600, with a top time of 27 minutes, 43 seconds for a 10K run and 13 minutes, 47 seconds for a 5K jog. The Nike+iPod Sport Kit is compatible with certain brands of Nike shoes or can be used with third-party kits that attach the pedometer to the user’s shoelaces. Apple and Nike jointly introduced it in May and started shipping it in July.
