NimbleMusic Offers SmartRip iPod Loading Service

NimbleMusic on Monday introduced SmartRip, a service that loads users' CD collections onto their iPods or other MP3 players. The company said it is the first service of its kind in New England.
NimbleMusic converts a CD collection into MP3 format and includes a backup of the music library on DVD or CD media. The company also includes a song index with album art and offers the option for customers to get their music backed up to an external hard drive.
Pricing starts at US$75 or 1.50 per CD for 50 or fewer discs. At 200 CDs, pricing is $250 or $1.25 per CD and at 500 CDs, the cost is $375 or $1.75 per CD. The charge includes three-way shipping via UPS, with $10 insurance per disc. NimbleMusic sends out a custom packing it at the start of the process.
