Otterbox Introduces iPhone Armor Case

Otterbox introduced its iPhone Armor Series case for the iPhone on Wednesday. The ruggedized case provides complete water, dust, dirt, and sand protection for the iPhone.
"The Armor Series is our most recognized line of protection. These rugged cases can withstand any adventure from snowboarding, biking, exploring the great outdoors and even swimming," said Curt Richardson, CEO of Otter Products, LLC in Fort Collins, Colo.

The iPhone screen is protected by a patented membrane which allows full functionality. The external headphone jack accommodates any 1/8 inch headphone jack with no adapter required, and supports Apple’s Stereo Headset control button for phone applications. However, the vendor suggests Bluetooth headsets. There is full iPhone functionality.
The external rubber jacket provides an excellent grip surface and impact absorption. There is no belt clip.
The iPhone Armor comes in black and yellow. Yellow is not available in time for Christmas. It is priced at US$69.95.
Otterbox also sells the Otterbox for iPhone. This version is water-resistant, that is, light rain. There is full iPhone functionality and operation except for the ring silencer. It is priced at US$49.95, but due to the backlog, will ship 10 to 12 days from date of order.
