PC Magazine Favorably Reviews New iPod nano

PC Magazine has published one of the first in-depth reviews of the new iPod nano to be found on the Internet, giving it 4.5 out of 5 and concluding: "Its a good bet that this will be Apples most popular iPod yet, and with good reason."
Writer Mike Kobrin looked at the 8GB black version, noting that gapless playback was his "personal favorite" among the changes to the device. However, he pointed out that its matte black finish "picks up tons of fingerprints," and he was frustrated by a firmware glitch that causes the track time indicator to behave erratically when scrubbing through music.
On the plus side, he compared its screen against his 4GB iPod nanos display and concluded that "it does indeed look significantly brighter." In addition, Mr. Kobrin said, "the iPods navigation system is still the best in the business (I guess Creatives patent on the interface was worth it after all), and menus and scrolling work smoothly."
