PodOmatic Adds Video Podcasting Support

PodOmatic, which helps users find, create, distribute, promote and listen to podcasts, on Monday announced that it has added video podcasting support to its services. Users can create videocasts and distribute them via iTunes, Google, Yahoo! and other online sources for free, with viral marketing tools also included.

The company on Monday also added the ability for users to send audio and video podcasts directly to others' computers, portable devices or TiVo boxes, thanks to a feature known as podMail. Those users can then reply the same way.

PodOmatic is free, although the company also offers Plus accounts that give successful podcasters more bandwidth and storage. The Plus service is US$9.95 per month.
