Quake 3 Ported to iPod Touch

On Friday, Scott Brooks posted a video in his HermitWorks blog of Quake 3 running on a iPod touch.

<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kvci1vTXyUo"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kvci1vTXyUo" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

The source was grabbed from icculus, and the developer reported that he had it running fairly quickly. The video shows two networked iPods, from the perspective of each player.

The video reveals the vast potential of the iPod touch and iPhone for gaming with Apple’s new SDK.
