    • The Life Pursuit is a sort of Reeses Peanut Butter Cup. You get Belle & Sebastian's peanut butter (its wistful, often irresistible pop) dipped in a 'Have A Nice Day!' and glam 70s chocol

    • This album bears every flavor of genius from the five records that came before. It is, I believe, the band's finest. With Physical Graffiti, Zep came raging back to their musical home territory -- har

    • Goldfrapp
    • On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

Rates for an iPhone Used Outside the U.S.

For those who are planning to take their iPhone outside the U.S., there are specific plans that will allow the user to estimate the costs ahead of time.

AT&T has a page that describes plans for world travelers. iPO chatted with an AT&T representative in Sioux Sity, S.D. who described the process.

First, the iPhone is considered a data phone and it’s not possible to manage data (e.g., SMS) separate from voice phone calls like some other phones. The representative explained that the customer needs to subscribe to the AT&T World Traveler plan (US$5.99 per month) for discounted roaming on voice plus the International Data Global Plan for iPhone (US$24.99 per month) for 20 MB of data transfer.

In addition, the voice roaming fee in Canada and Mexico will be $0.59/minute and in Europe, the voice roaming fee will be from $0.99 to $1.29/minute.

It’s still possible to run up a several thousand dollar iPhone bill if the user chats for thousands of minutes while outside the U.S., but at least these rates quoted by AT&T will allow the iPhone customer to obtain discounted roaming charges, manage data, and know what to expect before the bill arrives.

AT&T also said that these services no longer require a one year commitment, but can be turned off and on at will.
