Report: Apple Seeks Single Pan-European Carrier for iPhone

In keeping with Apple’s single-carrier approach to the U.S. market for the upcoming iPhone, the company is looking for a single pan-European carrier for the European launch of the device later this year. The Guardian reported Wednesday that unnamed industry insiders have pegged Vodaphone as the "early front runner" of this search.
The Guardian’s report, which is otherwise sparse on Apple-centric details, centered around Google’s phone. The search engine giant is also looking for European carriers for its newly leaked/announced Gphone, and has been reportedly talked to Telef�nica, which in turns owns UK carrier O2.
Apple’s policy is to not comment unannounced deals and products.
