Starbucks Plans iTunes-like Music Service

Starbucks, known for its ubiquitous coffee shops, may be planning on launching its own music download service through the wireless hotspots found it many of its retail locations. According to computing, Starbucks is currently testing different options, and may choose to go with a Microsoft Windows Media Player-based service.
Starbuck’s is no stranger to the music industry. It has its own music label, Hear Music, and has a trial service running that lets listeners choose the songs they like from the company’s library and create their own CDs at in store kiosks. The company also distributes CDs, and has some compilation discs that aren’t available at other places.
Additional details about the music download service aren’t yet available.
