Survey: Microsoft No Threat to iPod
Tuesday, July 11th, 2006 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Microsoft's rumored "iPod killer," a supposed picture of which is circulating the Internet, doesn't pose a threat to the iPod, according to a poll at Australian Web site iTWire. The poll showed 69.5% saying that Microsoft poses no threat and 30.5% thinking that it does.
According to writer Stan Beer: "That ratio was fairly consistent throughout the polling and did not alter appreciably after news came to light about the project code named Argo, which involves Microsoft bring handheld Xbox branded devices to market."
The poll has since been replaced by a new one: "Are EU antitrust regulators being overly zealous in prosecuting Microsoft?"
