Monday, December 4th, 2006 at 2:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
Toshiba introduced a new 1.8-inch 100GB hard drive on Tuesday. The drive spins at 4200 RPM, offers up to 100MBps transfer rates, and uses the same perpendicular data storage technology found in other Toshiba drives. It will go into mass production in January, and is the same size drive - but with a higher storage capacity - currently used in Apple's video capable iPod.
