- Goldfrapp
On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.
- Nine Inch Nails
- For years I wanted to make music that sounded like something between Love and Rockets and Ministry. In 1989, Trent Reznor beat me to it with this genre-defining album, and it smacked me upside the hea

Troubleshooting an iPhone
Monday, July 2nd, 2007 at 4:00 PM - by John Martellaro
The iPhone is based on Mac OS X, so, in principle, one could encounter a crash or a frozen application. Apple has posted a page on how to troubleshoot a stuck iPhone.
The tip starts by reminding the reader to connect an iPhone to a high power USB port, not a keyboard or monitor extension. The next most obvious step is to turn the iPhone off and restart it by holding down the sleep/wake button on the top for a few seconds until the iPhone shuts down. Then press it again to reboot.
Holding the "home" button, (the only physical button on the iPhone) for 6 seconds should kill a frozen application.
To totally reset the iPhone, in the style of an iPod, press and hold the sleep/wake button at the top and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo apepars.
The iPhone Troubleshooting Assistant is on the Apple Support site.
