XtremeMac Further Expands iPod Offerings

The iPod experts at XtremeMac launched a number of new products this week at Macworld Expo, including a new voice recorder, NBA cases, and cable solutions.

The MicroMemo high-fidelity voice recorder will start shipping in late Spring for $79.95. The device, which connects to a video iPod’s dock connector, is capable of recording 16-bit audio from either the included removeably microphone or any 3.5mm source. The MicroMemo is powered by the iPod’s battery and is fully controlled through the iPod’s interface. In addition, a built-in speaker allows users to listen to their recordings.

The NBA Iconz cases will begin shipping next week for the video iPod and ipod Nano ($29.95 and $24.95, respectively). Initially, XtremeMac will offer the video iPod case with the logo and colors of the L.A. Lakers, Miami Heat, and Philadelphia 76ers, with more teams arriving later. Similarly, the iPod nano cases will be available at launch in six versions: L.A. Lakers, Detroit Pistons, Chicago Bulls, Boston Celtics, Dwayne Wade (Miami), and LeBron James (Cleveland).

Lastly, the new HomeShow and RoadShow cable products are targeted at video iPod owners. The HomeShow is a 4-piece kit that includes a composite A/V cable for hooking your iPod up to a television, an composite audio cable for hooking your iPod only up to a stereo, a 3.5mm male-male cable, and an audio splitter. The RoadShow, meanwhile, consists of a 12V adapter that plugs into your car’s cigarette lighter and connects to your iPod through its dock connector, while composite A/V plugs connect your video iPod to a car’s television system. The HomeShow and RoadShow will ship next week for $49.95 each.
