iHiFi Plays Music From iPod or Computer on Stereo

Zoom Technologies, Inc. on Wednesday began shipping iHiFi, a line of wireless products that enable transmitting music from an iPod or other MP3 player, as well as a computer, to a stereo. The products use Bluetooth, giving them a wireless range of up to 70 feet and not requiring a line of sight between the transmitter and the receiver.

The iHiFi line includes a receiver that plugs into a stereo or powered speakers, a universal transmitter that works with an iPod or any other audio source with a headphone jack, and transmitters designed for use with 3G or 4G iPods, as well as the iPod mini. The receiver plugs into an electrical source while the transmitters include batteries that can be charged via a computer’s USB port or the iHiFi receiver’s power cube.

The iHiFi products are available separately or as a combo pack that retails for approximately US$99.
