iPods and Knives Don’t Mix

Some things in life should remain a mystery, including what the inside of your iPod shuffle looks like. This blog shows just what can happen if you jam a knife up inside a shuffle. The unfortunate owner of the now-melted iPod decided to "fix" their dead shuffle.

Although the blog says he probably hit a capacitor, its more likely he ruptured the rechargeable battery. The battery contents tend to react aggressively when exposed to air, and in this case burned and melted the former iPod.
The lesson to be learned: Dont poke sharp things into your iPod. Youll be sorry. Really.
