Inspector Gadget, 3D Brick Breaker Revolution Come to iPhone

Namco and Digital Chocolate on Monday released Inspector Gadget (US$4.99) and 3D Brick Breaker Revolution ($5.99) for the iPhone. The former is based on the cartoon series about a hapless inspector whose gadgets always seem to get him in trouble during his struggles against his evil nemesis, Dr. Claw. His niece Penny and his dog Brain, however, manage to save the day for him. Six levels and six mini-games are included.

3D Brick Breaker Revolution is from the company founded by Trip Hawkins, an ex-Apple executive who started Electronic Arts in the early 1980s. 3D Brick Breaker Revolution builds on the gameplay basics found in Breakout (created in the late 1970s by Apple co-founders Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak) with infinite levels, such power-ups as gun turrets and mines, secret bonus levels, boss battles, and more.

Three game modes are included: Revolution: survive as long as possible; Classic: complete 99 levels and defeat the final boss; and Time Attack: finish as many levels as possible in the time allotted. A free version is available.
