iPhone Software 3.0 Due June 17, Ahead of iPhone 3GS

Apple's iPhone Software 3.0 upgrade for the iPhone and iPod touch will be available on June 17, two days ahead of the iPhone 3GS June 19 launch.
The new version of the iPhone operating system will include copy and paste support, MMS support (but not for AT&T customers until later this summer), tethering (but not for AT&T customers), system-wide Spotlight searches, Voice Memo support, improved Parental Controls, Remote Wipe support, Find My iPhone, and more.
iPhone Software 3.0 will be a free upgrade for iPhone owners, and US$9.95 for iPod touch owners. The update will be available via iTunes.
