iPhorest Lets Users Plant Trees Over the Phone

Ecolife and iPhactory announced Monday the release of iPhorest. iPhorest is an app for the iPhone that allows users to plant a virtual tree along with a real one in cooperation with The Conservation Fund.
Users get their own virtual tree when they purchase iPhorest. At the same time, their purchase activates the planting of a real tree right from their phone. Native trees will be planted when users purchase iPhorest beginning with the restoration of wildlife habitat along the Gulf Coast.
Users can nurture their virtual trees by watering them with a shake of their iPhones and by planting additional trees on their virtual screens. iPhorest also features a world map of everyone who has downloaded the app so users can see where others are working to save the environment.
iPhorest can be purchased through the App Store at iTunes for US$4.99.
