Pharce Lets You Make Videos Directly On Your iPhone

Bobby Martin announced Thursday the release of Pharce, an iPhone and iPod touch application that allows users to make animated videos from photographs on your iPhone. Billed as novelty software, Pharce videos allow users to take an image, draw a mouth, animate that mouth, and then add a voice/soundtrack, right on your iPhone.

Users can then e-mail those videos out, or directly upload them to YouTube. You can also add props to your pictures and sound effects -- and yes there is a fart noise you kids can get all giggly about.

Photos used to make a Pharce video can either have been taken with the users iPhone or iPod touch, or they can be images synced to the phone through iTunes.

You can find a video demonstrating Pharce and other information at the application's Web site. You can download and purchase the app on iTunes for US$1.99.

Pharce sounds like fun product for creating a comic dramatic work using buffoonery and horseplay and typically including crude characterization and ludicrously improbable situations. In other words a “farce.”  smile

I purchased a copy and I like it.

It is easy to use, watch the how-to video on their website. I used an existing photo of Jack, my one eyed beagle, and did a voice over pleading for a trip to the dog park tonight. Then I sent it my wife.

Well I did not send it directly. The app requires you to either email to yourself via Pharce which gives you an mp4 file or you can upload it to YouTube for an iPhone compatible m4v file. What I did was to send it to myself and open it in QuickTime Pro then export to an m4v file which I emailed to my wife.

The app comes with some fun special effects both sound and visual, sailor hat, steaming ears, cartoon sounds and such. I was thinking of using it in conjunction with iFart, but no need to as the there are “phlatulence” sound effects included with Pharce.

Not a bad deal for $1.99
