    • Wow! Perhaps my 5-star rating is simply because the Redwalls are not only new and fresh (none of them older than 22!), or perhaps its because -- despite their ages -- they are able to totally capture

Police Investigating Foxconn Employee iPhone-related Death

Police have launched an investigation into the death of a Foxconn employee who allegedly leapt to his death over accusations that he stole a prototype of a fourth generation iPhone. While many are calling the death a suicide, local police are investigating to determine whether or not the employee was murdered, according to Shanghai Daily
25 year old Sun Danyong died after jumping from his 12th story apartment window over allegations that he kept one of 16 new iPhone prototypes. According to reports, Apple began pressuring Foxconn over the missing protoype, although the company commented "We are saddened by the tragic loss of this young employee, and we are awaiting results of the investigations into his death. We require our suppliers to treat all workers with dignity and respect."
Apparently Mr. Danyong was detained and beaten by a Foxconn senior security official known as Gu. Mr. Gu has since been suspended and is under police investigation.
In an online chat with a friend, Mr. Danyong told a friend "But I didn't steal it. I never steal anything."
He added "How can you [presumably Mr. Gu] take me by force and beat me?"
Foxconn general manager Li Jinming commented "I'm so sorry to Sun and his family. The case reflects the lack of management at the company."
The police plan to investigation Foxconn's treatment of Mr. Danyong once they conclude their investigation into his death.
