Software Ops Releases Aerochive iPhone Data Backup Utility for Mac OS X

Scottsdale, Arizona-based developer Software Ops announced Tuesday the release of Aerochive, the company's backup utility that works with the iPhone app My Eyes Only that allows users to back up personal information from their iPhone and iPod touch handsets.

Aerochive allows the backup, restororation and transfer of data between devices running My Eyes Only. The data, which can only be viewed from within Aerochive, is fully encrypted and password protected. Both Aerochive and My Eyes Only can also make use of Apple's Bonjour networking protocol to allow data to be backup up from an iPhone or iPod touch via a Wi-Fi network.

Aerochive retails for a special introductory price of $9.99 and a 15 day trial can be downloaded for testing. The program requires Mac OS X 10.5 or later to install and run. My Eyes Only can be found on the Apple iTunes App Store and retails for $8.99.

The application requires iPhone OS 2.2 or later to install and run.
