Terminator Salvation Game Coming to the iPhone

Gameloft has announced that a game based on the upcoming movie Terminator: Salvation is in the works for multiple mobile platforms, including the iPhone. A company representative told iPodObserver.com that Apple is currently Gameloft's largest customer, giving them in six months the revenue volume that took nine years to achieve in the traditional cell phone market.

To be available on May 22, the day the movie comes out, Terminator Salvation will follow the story of an adult John Connor, who is battling Skynet and its army of Terminators in the year 2018. When he meets a mysterious stranger, Connor must decide if he can trust the man to help him infiltrate Skynet's operations.

An interview with MTV.com by Gameloft CEO Michel Guillemot failed to reveal much about the gameplay, other than a screenshot that's reproduced here. More information about the game will be published as it becomes available.
