Viximo Releases TrueFlirt iPhone Application

Software company Viximo today announced its TrueFlirt virtual flirting application for Apple's iPhone handset via the App Store. The program, which retails for $5.99, allows users to send virtual "Flirts" to one another.

"More than half of the 50-100 SMS text messages sent daily by the average 14-24 year old are flirtatious in nature. TrueFlirt was designed to make flirting less stressful, more playful and fun," said Rob Frasca, CEO of Viximo. "The iPhone is an ideal device for adding a deeper layer to the social dialogue and taking the art of flirting up a notch with the TrueFlirt app."

The program combines 2D animations that respond to user interaction with features that support the iPhone's accelerometer and multi-touch user interface. The application arrives with 11 interactive Flirts such as being able to offer a virtual Love Potion that bubbles and pours when they shake the handset or the ability to send a fortune cookie that can be opened by shaking the iPhone.

Users can also "set the mood" with an over-the-top-kitschy bachelor pad Flirt, where users can tap objects in the scene to uncover sexy essentials like a hidden waterbed and disco ball. New Flirts and Flirt Collections are added regularly and automatically to keep the interaction fresh and exciting, with some featuring popular musicians, movie characters and pop culture icons.
