How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb
- U2
U2's latest entry is a mostly underwhelming collection of songs that does very little to sound any different from its equally pedestrian predecessor, 2000's "All That You Can't Leave Behind." While
- Amon Tobin
- The genius is in the beats. Amon Tobin creates fantastic, groovy beats behind beats. "Supermodified" rolls through your expectations of breakbeat music, and turns them up a bit. It's a mellow album, p
- Goldfrapp
On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.
- Jeff Wayne
- With the new movie adaptation of H.G Wells' classic Sci Fi invasion tale, War of the Worlds, currently on theater screens everywhere, there's new interest in Jeff Wayne's rock opera version, and it is
- Powderfinger
- Guitar-driven rock out of Australia, Powderfinger has not seen much exposure in the States, but should get a nod for their toe-tapping songs. Building off their previous release, "Internationalist" (

In-Depth Review
iQuizMaker
Friday, May 11th, 2007 at 1:00 AM - by Bob LeVitus
iQuizMaker is a free application that lets you create your own quizzes for the iQuiz game for iPod Videos (reviewed here: http://www.ipodobserver.com/story/31221).
Made by the nice folks at Aspyr Media, iQuizMaker is easy to use and makes creating, installing, and sharing your homemade iQuizes a piece of cake. You can create either true/false or multiple choice questions as shown here:
You have the option of adding an explanation for false answers as you can see above.
Then you can create settings for your quiz: the message shown when you win or lose, number of questions per game, and the number of wrong answers allowed before you lose, as shown here:
You can change the look of your quiz by choosing a different theme, as shown here:
And finally, you can see a simulation of how the game will look and play by clicking the Play button as shown here:
iQuizMaker is great and you can't beat the price (it's free). The only thing it's missing is the ability to add audio or album art to your questions or answers. If it could do that it would be absolutely perfect.
By the way, it's possible to create your own iQuizes by editing a text file. But with iQuizMaker being free I don't know why you'd ever want to.
There is one last thing: I created a little 20 question pop (music) quiz for you to try (http://boblevitus.com/iquiz/iquiz.html). Give it a shot and let me know how you did.
The Bottom Line
iQuizMaker is an easy-to-use, free application that lets you create custom quizzes for the iQuiz game that runs on 5th generation iPod Videos. What's not to like?
Just The Facts
Pros:Easy to use, fun, free.
Cons:Can't include audio or album art in questions or answers.
