Apple Retail VP to Speak Sept 12

Ron Johnson, Apple's Senior Vice President of Retail, will be speaking at the fourth ThinkEquity Annual Growth Conference on September 12. The event is scheduled to take place later in the day after Apple's special "Show Time" media event, according to Macworld UK.
Jonathan Hoopes, a ThinkEquity analyst, expects Mr. Johnson will discuss how Apple's retail presence will be leveraged to promote new iPod models and an iTunes movie download service - both likely to be announced earlier in the day at Apple's media event.
"The Apple retail store," he says, "has redefined the consumer computing landscape." He also thinks Apple is in a better position than any other computer maker to gain marketshare and profitability.
