    • The Redwalls
    • Wow! Perhaps my 5-star rating is simply because the Redwalls are not only new and fresh (none of them older than 22!), or perhaps its because -- despite their ages -- they are able to totally capture
  • Wolfmother

    • 8 out of 10
    • Wolfmother
    • Black Sabbath, The White Stripes, The Stooges. There aren't many bands worth their salt that want to be compared to other bands, but when I listen to Wolfmother's self-titled American debut, I can

    • Fantomas
    • Mike Patton may well be one of the hardest working men in showbiz these days, and his latest with Fantômas underscores just about how far out he is willing to travel.

    • Killer grooves, catchy riffs, edgy vocals with oh-so-just-right layered harmonies, and a drive that will move even YOU out of your chair, Brother Love's initial release is what rock and roll should be

    • 10 out of 10
    • Rush
    • We all know it, right? Well, ya just gotta have it. 2112 finally showed Rush out on their own, doing their own thing, and doing it well, IMHO.

Best Buy Now Selling Apple’s iPhone 3G

The number of places hopeful iPhone 3G buyers could score a combination iPod and smartphone increased on Sunday when Best Buy began selling Apple’s handheld. The big box retailer can handle iPhone sales along with the AT&T activation process, so customers that aren’t near an Apple retail store can still make their purchase and walk out the door with a working phone.

Best Buy announced in August that it had struck a deal with Apple, and that it had been training its Best Buy Mobile employees to properly handle iPhone customers. "Our Best Buy Mobile employees have the training and expertise to deliver the best experience possible for our customers -- from the initial purchase through the life of their iPhones," COO Brian J. Dunn said.

Like Apple and AT&T, Best Buy will sell the 8GB iPhone 3G for US$199, and the 16GB model for $299.

Apple’s deal with Best Buy means there are more places throughout the United States where consumers can buy the iPhone 3G. It also means customers that haven’t previously considered purchasing a Mac could be exposed to Apple’s computer line up, too, which isn’t possible in AT&T stores.
