iPhone Gets Movie Rentals, Find My iPhone

Apple announced that iPhone Software 3.0 will add movie and TV show purchase and rental support during its keynote presentation at the World Wide Developer Conference on Monday. Along with rental support, iPhone Software 3.0 will also add Find My iPhone, which lets MobileMe users track down their iPhone and see its location on a map.
Find My iPhone lets MobileMe users log into their account and see their phone's location overlaid on a Google Map. They can send an alert message and alert sound to their phone, and the sound will play even if the iPhone is in silent mode.
Users can also use Find My iPhone to remotely wipe their iPhone's data if it is lost or stolen.
Find My iPhone requires iPhone Software 3.0, due out on June 17, and a MobileMe account (US$99 a year).
