Electronic device trade-in service NextWorth announced that its iPod and iPhone trade-in program would be expanded to include retail outfits Amazon.com and Circuit City on Tuesday. Via this deal, customers can trade in their devices at select Circuit City locations, trade in the item and receive a store gift card for the trade-in value as gauged by a store employee.
According to an article over on iPodNN, devices can be shipped directly to NextWorth for inspection and valuation. NextWorth has claimed that e-gift cards will then be sent to customers within 24 hours of inspection.
Customers can also obtain estimates for their devices while shopping on the Amazon.com or CircuitCity.com web sites. If the value is accepted, a box is sent to the customer for shipping the iPod or iPhone to NextWorth. Aside from the partner stores, the service is still available at NextWorth.com, with checks mailed in seven to 14 days
