Three New Games Released For Click Wheel iPods

Apple on Tuesday added three new click wheel iPod games to the iTunes Store: Gameloft's Real Soccer 2009, Electronic Arts' Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09, and Sandlot Games' Slyder Adventures. The games are priced at US$4.99 each and are compatible with fifth generation iPod, iPod classic, and third and fourth generation iPod nano.
Real Soccer 2009 is a port of the same game currently available for iPod touch and iPhone. It features 290 clubs and nations from around the world, complete with real players and stadiums. Players choose from four levels of difficulty and various game modes, including exhibitions, cups, leagues, penalty kicks sessions, and practice.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 09 features Woods and several other top golfers, including John Daly, Annika Sorenstam, and Vijay Singh -- players can also create custom golfers. Three levels of difficulty are available in practice or tournament mode, along with six real golf courses: Pebble Beach, Bay Hill, St. Andrews, Sawgrass, Pinehurst, and Wentworth.

Slyder Adventures is a game that's also available for Windows. It features four spherical characters -- Slyder, Boffo, Unger, and Sparky -- players unlock as they navigate through various worlds. Along the way, players pick up objects that grant extra points or bonus time and collect keys that open doors. Certain hazards, such as goo and spinners, slow them down, while others, including robots, electrified walls, and lava, cost them a life.
