Coke to Give Away Millions of iTMS Songs in UK, Germany

Coke has announced plans to give away millions of iTunes Music Store singles in the UK and Germany, according to a MarketWatch article. Coke had previously tried to compete with the iTMS in Europe with its MyCokeMusic online store, but it was shuttered this month.
Coke's European marketing director said that it made more sense to partner with the iTMS, rather than compete against it. Apple would not say if the promotion will be extended to the U.S., where it has previously entered into similar giveaways with Pepsi. ITunes vice-president Eddy Cue, however, said that this was the "deepest alliance of its kind involving iTunes."
