Griffin Intros AirClick With Dock Connector for iPod
Sunday, October 16th, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Brad Cook
Griffin Technology on Monday introduced AirClick with Dock Connector, a remote control whose receiver plugs into the bottom of the iPod while allowing the MP3 player to connect to a dock. The AirClick remote uses RF technology, enabling it to work from up to 60 feet away, whether or not the iPod is in the line of sight.
The remote also features play/pause, next track, previous track, volume up and volume down buttons, along with a hold switch and a clip. Each AirClick remote control can be paired to any AirClick remote unit, including the USB one for use with a computer.
Pricing is US$39.99. Griffin expects to ship the new AirClick in mid-November. It's compatible with video iPods, 4G iPods with click wheel, iPod photo and iPod mini.
