- Rush
- We all know it, right? Well, ya just gotta have it. 2112 finally showed Rush out on their own, doing their own thing, and doing it well, IMHO.
- Spoon
Gimme Fiction by Spoon is a terrific album by an Austin band that I was lucky enough to catch on an Austin radio station during a Christmas visit.
- Cake

New XBox Plays Music from iPod
Sunday, October 2nd, 2005 at 3:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
The new XBox 360 can connect directly to an iPod letting you play music and slideshows directly on your TV, bringing us one step closer to an all-in-one home entertainment center. Microsoft demonstrated plugging in an iPod mini using a standard iPod USB cable during a presentation in London, then using the stored music as a sound track for a video game.
The German website, Heise Online notes that the music must be either MP3 or WAV format for the XBox to recognize it, and iLounge also notes that it can connect to other MP3 players, digital cameras and hard drives. With these other devices connected, you can create and play picture slideshows complete with musical soundtracks, but the XBox is limited since can't play back video.
