- Spoon
Gimme Fiction by Spoon is a terrific album by an Austin band that I was lucky enough to catch on an Austin radio station during a Christmas visit.
- The Damned
- Punk rock is mostly associated with three chords and a bad attitude, but the Damned were one of the few bands of the era bent on bringing musicianship and a good sense of humor to the scene. And while
- Mystics Anonymous
- Mystics Anonymous is the brainchild project of Jeff Steblea, a fantastic songwriter and good friend of mine, as well. In fact, I even played the drums on all but one of the tracks on this album. Jef

Next Gen Zune… Still In Pink
Thursday, August 30th, 2007 at 4:00 PM - by Jeff Gamet
Images of Microsofts Zune 2 and Zune Flash found their way out onto the Internet even though the Redmond-based company hasnt officially announced the products. If the picture that appeared at Gizmodo is legit, it looks like Microsoft is readying a new assault on Apples iPod -- and now the iPod nano -- with pink.

The 80GB Zune 2 and the 4GB and 8GB flash-based Zune Flash looks to be available in black, red, or pink. The funky middle button is still there, but the form and shape seem to be different from the current Zune model. So far, no sign of a brown model.
If the images are real, and Microsoft chose to let them out into the wild on purpose, the timing is right. Apple is holding a special media event next week on Wednesday, September 5, where new iPod models are expected to be announced.
Should Apple launch new iPods, the current Zune model will appear even more lack-luster. The possibility of new Zunes, however, could give the impression that Microsoft is still in the game.
