Pimped, Primped, Jeffed, And Skimped

Wassup Dawgz?

I got some new stuff fo ya and comin’ at ya this week from the iTunes Store.

Peep dis Dawg: I got ma boy XZBit doin’ his thang pimpin peeps ridz in his MTV show Pimp My Ride. In this episode X rolls up on Tenita’s ’65 T-Bird, and that bird is, as Tenita puts it, "a dirty bird!’"

Yo dawg, she said it, not me.

You need to peep dis, cuz when the boyz in the shop git done wit Tenita’s ride it goes from blight to tight. And dis is on the real.

The episode is free so you need ta cop dis rite here. Dat’ll work!

I purposefully kept the Talk easy so that my less worldly readers can understand what was said, but just in case you still need a translation...

Hello everyone and welcome.

I have something new this week that might interest you on the iTunes Store.

This episode of MTV’s Pimp My Ride, "Thunderbird," is where my good friend, XZBit, discovers Tenita’s 1965 Thunderbird, and that car is, as Tenita puts it, ..."a dirty bird."

Tenita and her dirty ’65 Bird Pre-Pimped

Hey, she said it, not me.

Anyway, you really should check out this episode because when the guys in the shop get through with it, that car goes from not so hot to cool. You have to see it to believe it.

The episode is free so go grab it now. Sweet!

Pimp My Ride is a MTV good time, but if you’re a fan of Flavor of Love (I’m not, but that’s no surprise) then you might want to check out Charm School Girls. It’s not what you think.

Mo’Nique hosts a review of the girls made popular by the show, Flavor of Love, a quasi-reality show featuring Flavor Flav. These girls are going to get some polish in Mo’Nique’s charm boot-camp, and compete for $50,000.

What’s interesting here is that some of these girls are working their time in the spotlight to their advantage. Some are playing the celebrity circuit, launching singing and acting careers, and really trying to put their bit of fame to good use. I say work it ladies, work it!

If Mo’Nique and her girls don’t suit you maybe you’ll take a shine to Jeff Foxworthy’s Big Night Out. The free episode on the iTunes store features Kenny Rogers.

If you don’t know who Jeff Foxworthy, he’s the guy who made popular the "You might be a redneck if..." jokes. I like his working class humor, and the show is sort of a Kentucky version of Saturday Night Live, with skits and stand-up routines. It’s not the best Foxworthy I’ve seen, his regular stand-up stuff is hilarious, but it’s still pretty good and worth the price.

And last, and, well, whether it’s least or not I’ll leave for you to decide: The Story is a music video, and the title of Brandi Carlile’s latest album. It’s a free download this week at the iTunes Store. The video features scenes from Grey’s Anatomy, the ABC hospital drama that airs on Thursday nights.

I’m guessing you’d have to follow the show to glean the significance the song has for the show, but it’s a good song and the video is OK, if you like that sort of thing.

I was a bit disappointed, I thought I was going to get an episode. I suppose the length of the show, 4 minutes and some change, should have given me a clue, huh?

Ah well, if you’re a fan of either Brabi Carlile or Grey’s Anatomy you’ll probably get more out of this download than I did. Enjoy.

Here’s more free stuff at the iTunes Store:
