On their latest CD, Supernature, Goldfrapp has put together a successful mix of 1980-era New Romanticism, German cabaret, and T. Rex glam that leaves you riveted even through the album's lulls. It's a great amalgam that sounds current without sounding at all dated.

iPhone Update Improves Security, Erases Hacks

The iPhone Update 1.0.1 published on Wednesday not only fixes a potential security problem discussed at the Black Hat 2007 conference, but also checks for software modifications, hacks, that the user may have installed and deletes them, according to IDG News Service.
The security vulnerability involves Safari and was discovered by researchers at Independent Security Evaluators. It would allow a malicious Website to access data on the iPhone.
Some hackers who have worked to modify the iPhones firmware have reported that the new update process wipes the iPhone firmware if changes are detected and uploads Apples updated firmware.
However, not all tools that developers have devised are affected. The "Jailbreak" code appears to still be able to upload personalized ringtones.
Similar reports of Apples detect, erase, and update process appeared right after users took delivery of the Apple TV.
