Karelia Software Releases Amaphone for iPhone

Karelia Software has released a free beta version of its Amaphone service to coincide with the launch of Apple’s iPhone. The Web-based software allows users to access Amazon.com much more quickly.
Dan Wood, cofounder of Karelia Software, said that, when accessing Amazon.com on the EDGE network via Safari, "the experience can be a frustrating one." Amaphone is a server, accessed at Amaphone.com, that works as an intermediary, moves the processing load to their server, and makes accessing Amazon.com much more responsive.

"Amaphone allows users to enter search terms, to browse by category, and to make purchases directly from Amazon.com. Amaphone also works great from any Safari Web browser, even on your desktop, Mac or PC," according to Karelia.
