Mariner Calc Coming to the iPhone

Mariner Software is expanding beyond the Desktop to bring its Mariner Calc spreadsheet application to the iPhone. The iPhone version of the application will let users both view and edit native Excel documents.

Company president, Michael Wray, said on his blog "While there is still quite a bit of the unknown, I can tell you we are focusing on a core set of functionality."
In addition to Excel editing and viewing, the iPhone application will be CocoaTouch native with support for multiple sheets, charts and objects, and 1,000,000 by 32,000 row and column support.
There isn’t any word yet on when Mariner Software plans to release Mariner Calc for the iPhone, or how much it will cost. The prospect of native Excel document support, however, is sure to be good news for business users.
