SonoSite Brings Physician Courses to Video iPods

SonoSite on Monday announced an initiative that will offer video podcasts of refresher courses to physicians. The initial courses will cover two ultrasound procedures, with video modules for anesthesia, surgery, emergency medicine, and critical care planned for later in the year.

The ultrasound courses, along with a video iPod, will be given for free to anyone who purchases a MicroMaxx system from SonoSite between now and September. MicroMaxx is a laptop-sized piece of hardware for performing and viewing ultrasounds.
