Apple Releases New iPhone 3.0 Beta and SDK
Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 at 8:36 AM - by Jeff Gamet
Apple released a new beta version of iPhone Software 3.0 and an accompanying software development kit update to developers on Tuesday.
iPhone Software 3.0 beta 3 apparently improved Spotlight searches and offers speed improvements, too. The new SDK improved several components, including Interface Builder, Xcode IDE, and Dashcode.
iPhone Software 3.0 is scheduled to be released some time this summer. It will add several new features to Apple's combination iPod and smartphone such as copy and paste, Spotlight searching, push notifications for third party applications, MMS support, horizontal keyboard support in applications, and more.
The update will be free for all iPhone owners.
