iPhone Shortage Eases

From its introduction on June 29th through July 5th, Apple stores were steadily depleted of iPhone stock. However, since then, supplies have steadily improved, according to ifoAppleStore.
"There’s no discernible pattern of ups-and-downs that might indicate when iPhone deliveries are made to the stores," ifoAppleStore reported. It was noted that the Austin, TX store was particularly hard hit, and it was out of stock for 14 days after the iPhone was introduced. (Austin is the location of Apple’s secondary headquarters, the financial and customer support center.)
The site published a graph showing the number of Apple retail stores that have had iPhones in stock since July 1st. As of Wednesday, approximately 150 of Apple’s roughly 165 store in the U.S. have an iPhone in stock.
Another convenient way to track availability is the Google Map overlay being updated daily by Blackfriars’ Marketing.
