  • Quadrophenia

    • 10 out of 10
    • The Who
    • Quadrophenia is everything that Tommy wanted to be, a rock opera that told a story, but one where every song could still stand alone. It was also Pete Townshend's farewell tribute to the Mod

  • Gimme Fiction

    • 10 out of 10
    • Spoon
    • Gimme Fiction by Spoon is a terrific album by an Austin band that I was lucky enough to catch on an Austin radio station during a Christmas visit.

  • 2112

    • 10 out of 10
    • Rush
    • We all know it, right? Well, ya just gotta have it. 2112 finally showed Rush out on their own, doing their own thing, and doing it well, IMHO.
  • So Jealous

    • 8 out of 10
    • Tegan and Sara
    • So Jealous is the third album from these sisters, and easily the one to single out for an introduction to their music. Some people may not get on board with their vocal styles, which are slightly

  • Live at the Magic Bag, Ferndale, MI

    • 6 out of 10
    • Supersuckers
    • Man, there's nothing like good, old fashioned, rock and roll... add a bit of industry resentment to that with a double-shot of cynicism, and you get one of the best "new" rock bands going. This album

Meditate With Your iPhone

SimpleTouch Software released Meditate 1.0 for the iPhone on Monday. This new app helps meditators by chiming an authentic meditation bell at set periods throughout the meditation session.

The chime is designed to remove the time-worry from the meditator, allowing them to go deeper with meditation. Meditate has some great features that distinguish it from other products of its kind.

Meditate also features sophisticated battery management, interruption handling, a smart restart feature, and automatic meditation tracking through a statistics tracker. Total time meditating, number of completed sessions, average time per day are all kept track of automatically for the meditator.

Meditate is available at the App Store for US$1.99.
